RKTech invests in Entropy to unlock access to two million LATAM technology professionals

RKTech has announced a strategic investment in Entropy, a fastgrowing US IT services firm with a strong presence across Latin America.

The move marks RKTech’ s first investment in a US firm since receiving strategic backing from Sumitomo, one of the largest Japanese conglomerates. The investment is designed to expand RKTech’ s global delivery capabilities and unlock direct access to Latin America’ s deep and rapidly growing technology talent pool, estimated at more than two million professionals.
Latin America has emerged as a preferred nearshore destination for US businesses due to its strong time zone alignment and cultural proximity. These factors enable faster and more effective collaboration between distributed teams while reducing many of the communication barriers often associated with offshore delivery models. As demand for agile development and continuous delivery increases, nearshore locations across the region have become increasingly attractive for enterprises seeking speed and flexibility without sacrificing quality.
As a result, the partnership advances RKTech’ s Best Shore Initiative, a hybrid delivery model that combines onshore expertise, nearshore agility and offshore scale. as businesses demand clearer return on investment amid AI disruption and tightening H1B constraints.
Organisations are under pressure to modernise platforms, adopt new technologies and accelerate Digital Transformation initiatives while maintaining strict cost controls. Access to a broader and more flexible talent base is therefore becoming a key differentiator for global service providers.
According to RKTech CEO Tung Bui, the expansion into Latin America represents a strategic next step following Sumitomo’ s investment. He said:
“ Expanding into Latin America, following Sumitomo’ s investment, strengthens RKTech’ s global delivery model. Combined with our established Centers of Excellence in Asia, this partnership allows us to address time zone gaps and scale effectively for global clients.”
Gerardo Rosciano, co-founder of Entropy, said the partnership aligns closely with Entropy’ s long-standing focus on talent quality and client fit.
Latin America has emerged as a preferred nearshore destination for US businesses due to its strong time zone alignment and cultural proximity.
He said:“ Entropy has always focused on delivering not just great engineers, but the right engineers for each client’ s needs. With RKTech, we can expand coverage across time zones, offer a broader range of pricing and skill sets, and scale our delivery model globally, without compromising quality.”
Looking ahead, RKTech says it is excited to leverage its expanded global delivery model to empower client growth in the US and around the world. By combining regional proximity, global scale and deep technical expertise, the company believes it is well positioned to support enterprises navigating increasingly complex technology and talent landscapes. •
By integrating Entropy’ s nearshore teams with RKTech’ s established offshore operations, the company aims to strengthen communication, facilitate continuous delivery cycles and improve overall development speed. This blended approach is designed to offer clients greater resilience and adaptability as project requirements evolve.
This ability to deliver cost efficiency, speed and scale has become increasingly critical
