Elea signs MoU with Oracle and Rio de Janeiro City Hall to advance data center project

Elea Data Centers has signed a

Memorandum of Understanding( MoU) with the City of Rio de Janeiro and Oracle to advance digital infrastructure in Rio.
The MoU was signed by Alessandro Lombardi, President and Founder of Elea Data Centers; Eduardo Paes, Mayor of Rio de Janeiro; and Alexandre Maioral, President of Oracle Brazil.
The partnership represents another step toward transforming the Olympic Park into the largest data center hub in Latin America – and one of the 10 largest in the world.
Designed and developed by Elea, Rio AI City will initially deliver 1.5 GW of capacity by 2027, with potential expansion to 3.2 GW by 2032. The hub will be powered entirely by clean energy and will introduce infrastructure capabilities unprecedented in Brazil.
With direct connectivity to major global markets via high-capacity submarine cables, Rio AI City will serve as a strategic entry point for companies seeking available green energy sources.
The hub’ s location in one of the world’ s most stable power grids, combined with its 100 % renewable energy supply and ability to support the most demanding AI and cloud workloads.
Rio de Janeiro positions itself as a prime destination for companies looking to scale sustainably while reaching new markets.

Edtech startup DABIDA announced that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Brazil-based company MKR for its AI-powered learning solution, GeniTeacher. The agreement positions MKR to roll out GeniTeacher across Brazil as part of DABIDA’ s broader push to expand internationally.

By combining traditional handwriting with digital technology, GeniTeacher delivers customized learning experiences and immediate problem-solving support. The solution supports all languages, including Portuguese and Arabic, and can be applied across all grades and subjects. Teachers also gain tools to monitor student performance and deliver targeted instruction.
