The rapid growth of generative AI had transformed infrastructure planning around the world. Training increasingly sophisticated AI models required enormous computing power while inference workloads demanded facilities located closer to enterprise customers. The resulting pressure created opportunities for regions capable of delivering reliable power, modern connectivity and supportive regulatory environments. Latin America increasingly satisfied those requirements.
The conference demonstrated that collaboration had become essential to the industry’ s future. No single organisation could deliver the infrastructure required for the AI era independently.
Countries including Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico all featured prominently during discussions, although each demonstrated different strengths. Brazil remained the region’ s largest data centre market thanks to its scale, mature telecommunications infrastructure and extensive enterprise customer base. Chile continued attracting significant attention because of its renewable energy resources, political stability and growing reputation as a regional connectivity hub. Argentina generated renewed interest through expanding energy opportunities while Colombia and Mexico strengthened their positions as important regional markets.
