Vertical Data and Ascenty partner to expand AI infrastructure across Latin America

Vertical Data has partnered with

Ascenty to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence infrastructure across Latin America, combining AI hardware, financing and managed services with one of the region’ s largest data centre and connectivity platforms.
The agreement covers Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Colombia, where enterprises are increasing investments in AI, highperformance computing and data-intensive applications. Under the partnership, Vertical Data will manage hardware procurement, financing, operating models and managed services, while Ascenty will provide data centre infrastructure, connectivity and operational support.
The combined offering aims to give organisations access to AI computing environments that meet the technical, operational and governance standards commonly associated with North American and European deployments.
Deven Soni, chief executive officer of Vertical Data, said Latin America already possessed the connectivity and data centre capacity needed to support AI at scale. He added that enterprises had often lacked access to the hardware, financing and operational expertise required to transform available capacity into deployed AI computing resources.
Ascenty sales director Vinícius Minetto said demand for AI and high-performance computing environments was growing rapidly across the region. He said the partnership would provide customers with a more comprehensive solution by combining infrastructure with procurement, financing and managed services.
The partnership gives Vertical Data access to Ascenty’ s footprint of 40 data centres across Latin America, including 27 operational facilities and 13 under development. The companies will support opportunities involving GPU infrastructure, AI workloads and related services through joint go-to-market, referral and reseller models. www. intelligentcio. com
