Universidad de los Andes is a Chilean higher education institution with more than 36 years of experience and a comprehensive academic offering. Its programmes include undergraduate, bachelor’ s, master’ s and doctoral degrees, as well as medical and dental specialisations and continuing education.
The university is home to more than 1,600 faculty members and serves a vibrant academic community of over 9,000 undergraduate students, 2,400 postgraduate students and 16,000 continuing education participants.

The project brought together multidisciplinary teams from Kyndryl, including specialists in cloud architecture, networking, cybersecurity, applications, data and AI( ADAI) and digital workplace services( DWS).
This collaborative approach ensured a seamless migration while minimising disruption to daily operations.
Beyond immediate improvements, the transformation establishes a strong foundation for future innovation. The university is now well positioned to adopt advanced technologies such as containerisation and accelerate application modernisation initiatives.
