Actis launches new LATAM hyperscale data centre platform TERRANOVA to accelerate digital expansion

Actis has announced the launch of TERRANOVA, a new LATAM hyperscale data centre platform. TERRANOVA plans to invest US $ 1.5 billion over the next three years developing a portfolio of modern campuses in Brazil, Mexico and Chile with additional markets under evaluation.

The first site, located in the Querétaro area of Mexico, is scheduled to come online in Q1 2026 followed by new campuses in Campinas, Brazil( 2027) and Chile( 2027 – 2028). has already secured land and power in strategic locations across the region representing the potential to deploy up to 1 gigawatt of data centre capacity in the future.

Actis brings to TERRANOVA its global experience building and operating data centre platforms across Asia. TERRANOVA will leverage cross-platform collaboration to share technical expertise, customer relationships and best operational practices across continents.

Engetron expands operations into the United States

Engetron, the Brazilian manufacturer of IoT-enabled UPS solutions, has announced its expansion into the United States with the opening of a new facility in Florida. The move is part of the company’ s global growth strategy and marks its entry into one of the world’ s most demanding infrastructure markets. US customers will now have access to a portfolio of UPS systems and racks developed under international standards and aligned with national certification requirements.

All systems connect to Engetron IoT, the company’ s remote-monitoring platform that provides real-time visibility and automated configurations.
With the Florida facility scheduled to open next year, Engetron also strengthens its global presence and reinforces its mission to deliver safe, stable power supported by technology and international standards.
According to Aluízio Ábdom, Engetron’ s Commercial Director, the company’ s arrival responds to rising demand for smarter energy solutions in data centers, industry and healthcare. He notes that growing electricity consumption driven by Digital Transformation requires technologies that deliver efficiency, stability and energy management.
Engetron manufactures its equipment at its plant in Contagem( MG) which already exports to Latin American and Central American markets. Its US operation will begin with a support structure offering technical assistance.
The initial portfolio for the United States includes three-phase and single-phase UPS models in modular and monolithic designs as well as 42U IT racks and plug-in racks recognised in Brazil for reliability in mission-critical applications.
