INTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGY: CONSTRUCTION

ACCIONA launches ATLAS for more sustainable construction

Environmental monitoring tools within the platform provide real-time and historical data analysis to support sustainability initiatives. Maintenance management is streamlined through digital tools for preventive and corrective maintenance, while automated inventory tracking ensures efficient warehouse management. Concrete production processes are fully digitalized, enhancing traceability and compliance with industry standards.

ACCIONA, a global leader in sustainable infrastructure, has launched a new innovative digital platform designed to enhance efficiency, safety and sustainability across construction projects worldwide.

The Atlas system integrates a wide range of digital tools such as data monitoring, automation and realtime analytics into a single user-friendly platform which provides real-time data and insights to optimize project performance. Designed for diverse infrastructure projects – including roads, highways, tunnels, railways, metros, ports and buildings – it enables seamless monitoring, control and management of construction activities.
The platform’ s modular and scalable design allows the tool to be adapted to the specific needs of each project. Key features include tunnel boring machine( TBM) data management, assets tracking, geotechnical monitoring, concrete traceability and earthwork production tracking. Atlas also enhances workplace safety with real-time air quality monitoring, emergency alerts, video surveillance and worker location tracking.
Atlas is already delivering results on key projects worldwide, including the stormwater diversion channel component of the comprehensive Fargo-Moorhead Area Flood Diversion project in North Dakota, USA – one of the largest infrastructure projects in the USA – where it plays a critical role in fleet management for equipment and light vehicles. It also enables precise earthmoving production control with timesheet management, equipment maintenance and fuel tracking to support decarbonization efforts.
In Brazil, the platform is improving tunnel data management and instrumentation monitoring in the construction of São Paulo Metro’ s Line 6, the largest public private partnership in Latin America.
In Chile, ACCIONA optimizes asset tracking, fuel management and earthwork monitoring for a major reservoir project. Meanwhile, in Poland, it supports TBM operations, segment traceability and safety systems on the S19 double road tunnel.
The digital platform was developed as part of ACCIONA’ s ongoing efforts to drive innovation in the construction industry. By integrating advanced technologies, ACCIONA aims to enhance project efficiency, safety and sustainability, reflecting their commitment to leveraging Digital Transformation to meet the evolving demands of modern construction. p
