Aduna accelerates network API commercialization in Brazil with Vivo, Claro and TIM Brasil
Aduna, a global aggregator of standardized network APIs, has announced rapid progress in Brazil as the country’ s three major mobile operators – Vivo, Claro and TIM Brasil – advance efforts to commercialize CAMARA-compliant APIs in partnership with the company.
A commercial launch is expected in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Brazil is emerging as one of the world’ s most advanced markets for CAMARA APIs, with operators exposing services that address fraud prevention and digital security.
Key APIs such as Number Verification and SIM Swap Detection help enterprises combat account takeovers, identity theft, and mobile fraud – pressing challenges in Brazil’ s fast-growing digital banking and mobile commerce sectors.
Through Aduna’ s aggregation model, Vivo, Claro and TIM are aligning on a unified framework for enterprises and developers to access these APIs nationwide. This collaboration reduces integration complexity, minimizes fragmentation, and accelerates innovation by enabling secure, scalable access to network intelligence across industries.
“ Network APIs are a strategic component of our digital innovation roadmap,” said Leonardo Silva, head of Messaging, CPaaS and Open Gateway at Vivo. Ageu Dantas, Claro’ s Head of Data Analytics, said that standardized APIs“ catalyze cross-industry transformation,” while Leonardo Siqueira, TIM’ s Data Monetization Director, emphasized their role in“ building an open and trusted ecosystem.”
Aduna CEO Anthony Bartolo said Brazil“ is becoming a blueprint for commercializing network APIs at scale,” with strong operator alignment driving digital trust and innovation.
Ecuador to strengthen agricultural public services with IDB support
The Inter-American Development Bank( IDB) has approved a $ 40 million investment loan to strengthen Ecuador’ s agricultural public services and boost tech innovation in the sector.
The financing will enhance agricultural research, technology transfer, information management and governance within Ecuador’ s agricultural research and innovation system. It will also reinforce agricultural health services by improving laboratory diagnostics, risk management and pest and disease surveillance – key to ensuring food safety and productivity.
The project includes the construction and upgrading of facilities following environmental sustainability and accessibility standards, as well as the deployment of advanced digital tools using artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Training programs will be provided for technicians and producers to support technology adoption and promote good agricultural practices.
More than 13,000 producers are expected to benefit directly, with a focus on rural women, Indigenous peoples and Afro-Ecuadorian communities. The initiative aims to strengthen institutional capacity, improve climate resilience, and modernize public services related to agricultural health and food safety.
Implementation will be led by the National Institute of Agricultural Research( INIAP) and the Agency for Phytosanitary and Zoosanitary Regulation and Control( AGROCALIDAD), both under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing.
Agriculture represents 7.7 % of Ecuador’ s GDP and nearly 30 % of national employment, underscoring its importance to inclusive economic growth. The IDB loan carries a 25-year repayment term, a 5.5-year grace period and an interest rate based on SOFR.
