TIM ranked most sustainable company in Brazil
TIM has reinforced its ESG leadership in the telecommunications sector with the release of the new portfolio of the B3 Corporate Sustainability Index( ISE).
Not only has the company been included in the portfolio for the 17th consecutive year, but it also secured first place among 82 listed companies spanning 40 sectors, moving up three positions compared to previous years.
This achievement makes TIM the Brazilian telecom operator with the longest consecutive presence in the index, which was created in 2005 and serves as a benchmark for sustainable investment in Brazil. Among the highlights of TIM’ s latest
evaluation – which surpassed a score of 90, a milestone reached by only a few companies in the history of the index – are its initiatives in climate management, promoting fair competition, protecting customer privacy and ensuring the technical accessibility of its products and services.
The ISE ranking is further supported by TIM’ s inclusion, for the second consecutive year, on the CDP’ s‘ A List’, an international non-profit organization that runs a rigorous global system for monitoring and disclosing environmental information. TIM stands out in climate change management as part of a select group of only 11 Brazilian companies.
In addition to helping investors make informed decisions, the ISE encourages companies to adopt best ESG practices, creating a virtuous cycle. As Alberto Griselli, CEO of TIM, emphasized:“ Environmental, social and governance issues are crucial dimensions for the future and strategic for the business.”
