Digital twin technology improves safety on one of Chile’ s most critical roads
With the platform, road operators can train teams, test protocols and refine their response strategies, thus strengthening emergency preparedness.
DXC Technology is collaborating with ISA Vías, a leading operator of road infrastructure in Chile, on implementing a digital twin platform that is transforming security on the Maipo Route – one of the country’ s main transport arteries which receives more than 7 million vehicles per month.
DXC uses digital twin technology to create a real-time virtual model of the road, allowing ISA Vías to simulate a wide range of emergency scenarios without disrupting traffic.
In addition to strengthening emergency preparedness, DXC’ s digital twin platform delivers real-time insights to optimize vehicular flow, drive predictive maintenance and support data-driven decisions, streamlining operations and reducing disruptions for a safer, more efficient experience. Expansion plans include integrating this technology into more highways and tunnels in Chile, setting a new standard for critical infrastructure protection and opening the way for future projects in Latin America.
“ Our work with ISA Vías exemplifies the power of innovative technology to transform everyday life,” said Howard Boville, Executive Vice President, Consulting and Engineering Services – Powered by AI.
“ We are not only addressing today’ s road safety challenges but also anticipating the challenges of the future through data-driven intelligence. With our digital twin platform, we are paving the way to a new era of intelligent transportation throughout Latin America.”
DIMO Partners with Grupo Kaufmann to power the future of connected cars in Latin America
DIMO, a leading connected vehicle platform, has announced a firstof-its-kind strategic partnership with Chile-based Grupo Kaufmann, one of LATAM’ s America’ s largest automotive dealership networks.
Through this partnership, DIMO and Kaufmann are working to redefine the connected car experience for auto dealerships throughout Latin America.
Connected cars represent a relatively small share of the region’ s total annual vehicle sales – this gap reflects limited connectivity adoption.
Kaufmann aims to close the gap by leveraging DIMO’ s standardized connectivity infrastructure to develop interoperable apps and services across automakers – bringing scalable, affordable innovation to the LATAM market.
At the core of this partnership is DIMO’ s transformative data model streamlining vehicle data connectivity with user consent, enabling Kaufmann to deliver data-driven services far more cost-effectively than developing these systems in-house.
“ Grupo Kaufmann recognizes that the future of connected vehicle services will be shaped by a new generation of apps and services designed for a digitally native audience,” said Alex Rawitz, Co-founder of DIMO.
“ With DIMO’ s infrastructure, Kaufmann can serve as the conduit for this creative energy, delivering next-generation experiences to drivers across Latin America.”
Carlos De Martini, Corporate Digital Business Manager, Grupo Kaufmann, said:“ We believe the future of the automotive industry in Latin America will be defined by the ability to turn data into meaningful experiences for our customers. Our partnership with DIMO accelerates this vision.”
