ARGENTINA
The Aeroportos Brasil Viracopos concessionaire has chosen NEOOH , a leader in out-of-home ( OOH ) media in passenger terminals in Brazil , as the principal assignee for the airport ’ s media exploitation at Viracopos International Airport in Campinas , São Paulo . The agreement started in 2020 , and the company expanded its partnership with the third largest airport in Brazil in terms of the number of passengers . The Viracopos Airport received 10 million people in 2021 and has shown a 24 % growth in 2022 in the first semester . The company is now responsible for 100 % of the media management and commercialization of the space .
The report Internet of Things : Technology as an Ally for Sustainability , published in July by the EAE Business School and based on data collected by IDC , indicates that Argentina leads the ranking of Latin American countries with the highest investments in IT , followed by Mexico and Peru . IDC estimated that spending on IT in Latin America would increase by 5.5 % in 2020 and 7.7 % in 2021 . It is worth noting that the current context of the sector in Argentina is positive because an increase was recently announced in the budget for science and technology in 2023 , reaching 500 billion pesos . It represents 0.34 % of the Gross Domestic Product ( GDP ), according to the Financing Law of the National Science , Technology and Innovation System , enacted in 2021 .

MEXICO
Pix , an instant payment system developed by the Central Bank of Brazil ( BC , in Portuguese ), is increasingly becoming a world leader . While Colombia and Canada show interest in adopting the system based on the technology developed by the BC , the Bank for International Settlements ( BIS ) revealed that it will carry out the first tests of Nexus . It is a platform to connect national payment systems in 60 countries to enable instant international transactions . In November 2021 , Campos Neto , President at BC , announced that the institution is working to enable Pix for operations without Internet access and in international transactions .
The Ministry of Economy , the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and Cisco Mexico have launched the second phase of the Digital Skills Program for 21st Century Mexican Women , which develops digital skills for women over 16 years . Participants will be able to develop IT and communication skills that promote their inclusion in labor ecosystems , that foster entrepreneurship and contribute to the growth of small businesses . The first phase totaled more than 57,000-course enrollments , with an average of more than 221,000 virtual training hours .
