Rafay Systems and AI-GDC partner to build sovereign AI infrastructure across Latin America

Rafay Systems has partnered with AI Green Data Centers

( AI-GDC) to build sovereign AI infrastructure across Mexico and wider Latin America – targeting universities, enterprises and public sector organisations seeking regional AI services.
The partnership will combine Rafay’ s infrastructure orchestration platform with AI-GDC’ s sovereign AI cloud environment, enabling customers to access self-service, token-metered AI applications and high-performance computing capabilities within regional borders. AI-GDC said the initiative moves beyond traditional GPU-as-a-service models by delivering a full-stack AI platform ranging from bare metal infrastructure to AI models and application marketplaces.
Haseeb Budhani, CEO and co-founder, Rafay Systems, said Latin America is becoming a major frontier for AI infrastructure investment. Franz Berchelmann, CEO, AI-GDC, said that the partnership would help deliver secure, enterprise-grade sovereign AI services across the region.
According to IDC, global AI infrastructure spending is expected to reach US $ 758 billion by 2029, while Mexico’ s AI data centre market is forecast to expand at a 24.55 % compound annual growth rate through 2031, reflecting demand for sovereign capacity and services.
AI-GDC is developing an NVIDIA-aligned AI Factory in northern Mexico designed to support the intensive power and cooling demands of next-generation GPUs. Construction of its flagship green data centre campus in Monterrey is scheduled to begin this year, with plans to scale capacity to 100 MW by 2030.
The company said digital sovereignty and sustainability are central to its strategy, with infrastructure designed to keep Mexican and Latin American data within the region while using renewable energy and water-efficient cooling technologies.

NowVertical signs US $ 4m Google Cloud and AI agreement with Latin American fintech

NowVertical Group has signed a threeyear Google Cloud and AI solutions agreement worth approximately US $ 4 million with a major Latin American fintech operating across Argentina, Colombia and Mexico.

The agreement expands the company’ s role from an initial services engagement into a broader recurring licence and professional services relationship focused on AI deployment and cloud modernisation.
NowVertical said the contract combines Google Cloud licensing with strategic AI and data services designed to improve operational efficiency and strengthen AIready data environments.
Under the deal, NowVertical will support deployment of Google Gemini, AI agent capabilities and AIenabled workflow automation. The company will also act as the fintech’ s Google Cloud licence partner of record through a multi-year cloud consumption commitment.
NowVertical said the project is intended to help integrate customer, operational and financial datasets while creating stronger foundations for enterprise AI adoption across selected workflows.
The Google Cloud licensing component is expected to generate net revenue equivalent to roughly 10 % of licensing value after third-party costs and related expenses. Revenue recognition will be recorded in accordance with IFRS, while associated AI professional services are expected to align with the company’ s targeted gross margin profile.
Sandeep Mendiratta, CEO, NowVertical, said the agreement reflects growing customer demand for measurable business outcomes from AI initiatives and integrated cloud transformation strategies.
The announcement follows the company receiving Google Cloud’ s 2026 Data & Analytics Partner of the Year award for Latin America for the second consecutive year. www. intelligentcio. com
