Nokia and TIM Brasil expand AI-ready 5G network with NVIDIA to power Brazil’ s digital future
Nokia has expanded its partnership with TIM Brasil to modernize and scale an AI ready 5G network across 14 states, extending coverage to roughly 42 % of Brazil’ s population.
The initiative builds on recent investments in São Paulo and introduces advanced automation, energy efficient infrastructure and enterprise focused connectivity powered by NVIDIA AI RAN platforms.
Under the agreement, Nokia will deploy its latest AirScale portfolio including Habrok Massive MIMO radios, Pandion Remote Radio Heads and small cell solutions, alongside services for deployment, optimization and support. The rollout aims to boost network performance, improve user experience and significantly reduce energy consumption while enabling seamless indoor coverage and scalable capacity.
TIM Brasil will also implement Nokia’ s MantaRay SON technology to automate operations, enhance network quality and lower operating costs through AI driven analytics. The modernization spans major cities such as Brasília, Manaus, Goiânia and Belo Horizonte, delivering faster and more reliable 5G services.
The partnership positions TIM Brasil to deliver advanced enterprise solutions including intelligent network slicing, video analytics, voice recognition and threat detection across sectors such as mining, agribusiness, manufacturing and logistics. By integrating AI RAN capabilities with NVIDIA, the companies are preparing the network for 5G Advanced, future 6G evolution and large scale AI workloads.
