using Gemini 2.5 Flash on Vertex AI. The local availability is particularly important for sectors bound by strict regulations around data residency including banking, healthcare, insurance and public administration.
To support customers with even more stringent sovereignty and security needs, Google has announced that Gemini on Google Distributed Cloud( GDC) is available in Brazil. The offering includes both air-gapped and connected versions, allowing organisations to run Gemini in their own data centres while maintaining full control over sensitive information.
With GDC, enterprises get access to Google’ s full AI stack including Vertex AI, databases and security tooling while retaining complete operational governance. For Brazil, where public-sector agencies and critical industries often face regulatory barriers to cloud adoption, the new setup opens the door to previously inaccessible AI capabilities.
Agentspace: a platform for enterprisescale AI adoption
Another major spotlight is Agentspace, Google Cloud’ s platform for building and managing AI agents across an organisation. Agents can summarise documents, search internal systems, automate workflows, analyse contracts or support customer interactions.
Brazilian enterprises have been among the earliest adopters globally, reflecting the country’ s rapid embrace of productivity-focused AI tools. Companies in finance, retail, energy, healthcare and media are already using Agentspace to consolidate data sources, automate complex back-office tasks and enable employees to create their own AI agents with guardrails in place.
The early use cases show measurable results: reductions in process time from weeks to hours, major improvements in knowledge access, faster contract
