INTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGY: CLOUD TRANSFORMATION
AWS expansion fuels cloud transformation in Mexico
architectures using services such as Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service and DevOps automation. This shift improves responsiveness to market and regulatory changes while supporting long-term innovation goals.
GenAI adoption is expanding as companies integrate AI into daily operations. Through AWS services, including Amazon Bedrock and its Titan and Nova foundation models, enterprises are automating processes, optimising decision-making and enhancing customer experience. Early implementations are producing measurable gains in productivity and efficiency.
Enterprises in Mexico are accelerating cloud modernization and AI adoption, aided by AWS’ establishment in 2025 of a regional hub in the country, according to a new research report published by Information Services Group( ISG).
AWS’ local expansion will continue the Digital Transformation under way in Mexico’ s enterprises and talent pool. It provides strong local infrastructure to scale AI initiatives, strengthen operations and comply with evolving regulations.
The 2025 ISG Provider Lens AWS Ecosystem Partners report for Mexico finds that the launch of three local AWS availability zones has helped companies accelerate innovation and improve performance while ensuring compliance with Mexican legal and data residency requirements. The development marks a milestone for Mexico’ s digital economy as organizations invest in cloud-native technologies to enhance agility, resilience and cost efficiency.
“ AWS’ local expansion will continue the technology transformation under way in Mexico’ s enterprises and talent pool,” said Anay Nawathe, ISG Cloud Delivery Lead for the Americas.“ It provides strong local infrastructure to scale AI initiatives, strengthen operations and comply with evolving regulations.”
Mexican enterprises are rapidly transitioning from cloud migration to full modernization. Many are replacing legacy systems with agile, cloud-native
The financial sector, including major banks and startups, has been among the first to benefit from local AWS capabilities. Access to secure, high-performance cloud infrastructure allows institutions to improve operational reliability, ensure data sovereignty and strengthen compliance with Mexico’ s financial regulations. The new AWS region has also encouraged investment in projects that expand digital financial services.
Adoption of multicloud strategies is growing in Mexico as companies seek scalability and flexibility. Large enterprises are combining AWS with other public clouds to expand bargaining power and secure competitive prices. This trend is fuelling demand for specialised managed services to help organisations manage multiple standards, interfaces and security models.
“ Enterprises in Mexico are building a modern, intelligent foundation for the future,” said Adriana Frantz, lead author of the report.“ The combination of GenAI and cloud-native modernization is reshaping industries, creating new opportunities and redefining operational efficiency.”
The report also notes the growing focus on FinOps for cost optimisation and Zero Trust frameworks to protect expanding cloud environments.
The 2025 ISG Provider Lens AWS Ecosystem Partners report evaluates 37 providers across four quadrants. It names Accenture and Rackspace Technology as Leaders in all four, with Capgemini, Escala 24x7, Itera, NTT DATA and XalDigital recognised in three each. p
