EDITOR’ S NOTE

Hello and welcome to the latest edition of Intelligent CIO Latin America.

This month’ s cover story, which can be found on page 14, features Edgar Mendez, General Manager

The upgrade strengthens cash flow and allows the Mexican telecom to deliver more agile digital services to its 17 million subscribers. Supported by Oracle’ s consulting team, Izzi migrated its CRM and billing systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to create a resilient, future-ready architecture.
The move also enables Business Continuity, with production and Disaster Recovery environments running across two OCI regions in Mexico. Beyond efficiency, Izzi is focused on enhancing customer experience through personalized campaigns powered by Oracle’ s Siebel CRM.

The GSMA urges regulators to harmonize spectrum policy across the region by allocating the lower 6 GHz to Wi-Fi and the upper 6 GHz to mobile, calling this decision critical for Latin America’ s digital competitiveness and long-term growth.
