CASE STUDY a process of hypothesis validation, only using free Generative AI tools to read and interpret the messages and files received, seeking to understand the assertiveness of Gen AI and the feasibility of adopting a tool.
Once the hypotheses were validated, the company made a development roadmap and carried out a backlog survey, mapping the entire process carried out by the salespeople. In the design phase, the system architecture prioritized integration with GenAI and external systems.
Unit and integrated automated tests were created, including the cybersecurity team in the development of the product. The implementation of the technology was gradual by segmenting salespeople and with internal training for the commercial teams.
To this end, advanced Natural Language Processing( NLP) techniques have been implemented, such as extracting text from various types of files, as well as image attachments and PDF files.
In addition, technical models were developed to improve the semantic correspondence between customer products and the company’ s catalog, that is, the application started to work as a sales copilot, assisting and speeding up the process.
To do this, the solution was divided into several stages, such as receiving, storing and classifying emails, processing attachments, extracting relevant information, matching products by performing a“ fromto”, in addition to integration with the sales platform. As a result, AI currently gets more than 95 % of the analyses it does right.
One of the main difficulties of the project was training the AI to interpret data accurately, even in scenarios of inconsistency or lack of information. To this end, seven Generative AI models were tested in the reading and interpretation of messages and their attachments.
“ We have significant results in a relatively short time and we are facing a scalable project, with the potential to contribute even more to cost reduction and revenue increase. It is very gratifying to be able to present an IT solution like this to our stakeholders,” said Tobara. p
