COUNTRY FOCUS COUNTRY: PARAGUAY FOCUS: ay power-as-a-service for IT developers

Although Paraguay is well-suited to solar power generation, with favourable irradiation levels, the country’ s industry is in its infancy and the need to diversify its energy supply is recognised at a government level.
According to the latest Generation Roadmap( 2021 – 2040) from Paraguay’ s state electricity company, ANDE, electricity consumption is expected to rise by 5.8 % annually until 2030 and by 4.4 % to 5.8 % per year from 2031 to 2040, depending on the scenario. To meet this demand, an additional 2.15 GW of generation capacity is planned, with the majority coming from solar photovoltaic and battery storage.
ATOME POWER is intended to be an 80:20 joint venture between ATOME and Fondo de Inversion en Innovacion de Paraguay S. A.( FIIP) respectively, further details of which are set out below.
ATOME is establishing a market-led, large-scale renewable power generation and infrastructure business with initial focus on Latin America.
Power Generation
ATOME POWER plans to develop a utility-scale solar plant of up to 400MW installed capacity incrementally, alongside battery storage. The completion of the renewable power project will be a first step in placing ATOME as a significant independent power producer in Paraguay. As a precursor, ATOME POWER has
