Dataprev signs AI technology transfer agreement with Huawei
Brazil’ s Dataprev has signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement with Huawei to set up an Artificial Intelligence Center supporting the development of solutions at universities in the Northeast.
The Center is virtual, with no physical headquarters, and will use, whenever necessary, Dataprev’ s facilities and infrastructure in the region, located in Fortaleza, João Pessoa and Natal.
Universities from these capitals will also be part of the initiative, which foresees the delivery of some prototypes or MVPs based on Huawei’ s AI models, this year.
As part of the agreement, Huawei is developing a basic version of LLM in Portuguese and offering ready-made languages with specialized training for different industries. Of the ten available with a sectoral focus, five were initially selected for technology transfer: language models trained in administration and public services, health, education, security and agriculture.
Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services( MGI) Executive Secretary Cristina Mori highlighted Dataprev’ s corporate culture, consolidated in recent years through moderation, planning and strengthening of dialogue between departments, which she considers key to the technological advancement of products.
“ We will create the MVPs in the first phase of work; with the experience acquired, the expectation is to add new partners and government entities in the project’ s expansion stage,” said Dataprev President Rodrigo Assumpção
“ The company has actively invested in people’ s ability to dialogue and in creating an environment of trust, which is necessary to innovate and deliver results, which, in turn, will transform the lives of the Brazilian population.” p
