About the research
The survey was conducted by independent research firm Wakefield Research, between October 24 and November 4, 2024. It surveyed 1,550 brick-and-mortar operations leaders in seven countries: the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany and Canada.
In Mexico, it was applied to 150 physical operations leaders.
The survey was conducted online, in English or translated into a local language in the different markets. The overall results are the sum of all the answers to generate an average. tools have made their industries more attractive to younger workers.
Samsara report: Key findings for Mexico
• 71 % of industry leaders plan to invest a moderate to significant amount in safety and security technologies for the workforce in the next five years.
• 74 % indicated that modern technological tools have made their industry more attractive to younger workers.
• 68 % said they frequently hear feedback from their workers about the need for greater investment in their safety and security.
• 31 % have saved more than $ 20 million pesos to date thanks to the investments they have made in security-focused technologies.

Leaders ranked cameras as the top technology for improving recruitment and retention, as they recognize their value in protecting workers from incidents beyond their responsibility and false claims. This reflects younger workers’ emphasis on workplace protection and their comfort with safety-enhancing technologies.
Technology investments drive financial returns and unlock new efficiencies

Nearly all( 99 %) respondents in Mexico confirmed that technology has empowered the workforce to shift their focus to higher-value tasks, including preventative maintenance, safety checks and valuable opportunities to improve their capabilities.
The research also revealed widespread adoption of online learning platforms, with 80 % of Mexican organizations already using these tools as part of their training programs. In addition, leaders indicate that the main benefits derived from the use of these platforms are knowledge retention, the onboarding process and improved employee retention. p
