BRAZIL
In celebration of its 30th anniversary , ICM has launched its new website – designed exclusively for the Brazilian market .

COLOMBIA
The new website serves as a comprehensive platform for accessing information about ICM ’ s technologies and capabilities in designing corn ethanol biorefineries .
President Gustavo Petro has personally signed a JA Solar module to commemorate the successful completion of a groundbreaking PV project .
“ We are thrilled to introduce a resource that reflects our commitment to investing in the region and strengthening our ability to serve our customers ,” said Daniel Yamada , ICM Business Development Manager .
“ This launch represents another step in our mission to provide not only the most efficient technologies but also exceptional support to help our customers achieve their goals .”
The launch builds on ICM ’ s expanded presence in Brazil , which includes the opening of a fully staffed office in 2022 . The local office provides customers with direct access to expert support and services tailored to the unique needs of the market .
This marks the first PV power plant built at an oil refinery in Latin America , a signature initiative supporting President Petro ’ s renewable energy development agenda .
JA Solar exclusively supplied the PV modules for this 23MW project , constructed by PowerChina .
The installation , located at the Cartagena Refinery of Colombian Petroleum Company ( Ecopetrol ), is pitched as a pioneering example of integrating renewable energy into traditional industrial settings .

MEXICO
Solar startup Niko Energy has raised $ 8m in equity funding led by QED Investors – with participation from 468 Capital and Picus Capital – along with $ 15m in debt financing .
Niko will use the funds to develop Mexico ’ s first virtual power plant – a network of small energy-producing and storage devices like solar panels and batteries pooled together to support the electricity grid .
Niko will also expand battery storage offerings , acquire additional energy portfolios and scale solar financing and installation services .
The funding follows a $ 3.3m seed round in March 2024 .

PERU
Altenar has officially been approved as a technological platform provider in Peru – with the establishment of country ’ s online gambling market .
In October 2023 , a supreme decree outlined the compliance requirements for igaming operators .
