To illustrate this action in a more simplified way , in the technological area we call ‘ guard rail ’ ( which are those protective railings that are used on roads ) the rules and limitations that are determined to prevent LLMs ( which , in this case , would be ‘ cars ’) from ‘ leaving the road ’
Understanding how to identify and prevent these failures is not just a technical necessity , but a matter of business safety and sustainability . and generating harmful , false responses or that violate some ethical principle .
The bill that is being processed in the Senate brings a very interesting concept , which is the TEIA , an acronym that summarizes four essential concepts for an AI governance model : ‘ T ’ stands for ‘ transparency ’, by requiring more clarity in AI decision-making processes ; the ‘ E ’ for ‘ explainability ’, which allows users to understand the reasons behind the decisions made ; the ‘ I ’ for ‘ intelligibility ’, which ensures that AI results are understandable to humans ; and the ‘ A ’ for ‘ auditability ’, which allows you to verify that the systems are working correctly and that the results are being generated in a fair and impartial manner .
