Eutelsat and Cable Color renew multi-year agreement for LATAM broadcast services

Honduras ’ s Cable Color LLC has signed a new multi-year agreement with Eutelsat Group renewing capacity for video broadcast services over Central America on Eutelsat ’ s EUTELSAT 117 West A satellite .

Cable Color , a prominent cable operator in the region , is a longstanding customer of Eutelsat and this new agreement underscores its continued confidence in the quality of broadcast services provided .
The 117 ° West location is the premium TV neighbourhood for LATAM offering pan-regional distribution of major networks and content providers .
Three hundred TV channels , 50 in HD , are currently broadcast to around 110 million TV homes and a strong cable head-end penetration includes over 1900 cable head-ends in LATAM and the Caribbean .
117 ° West is also a growing free-to-air TV neighbourhood with 100 TV channels broadcasting in the clear , including channels from key regional public and private broadcasters .

We are honoured to host their services on our premium E117WA satellite , which plays a vital role in delivering video content across Latin America .”

Nokia and TIM partner to expand 5G coverage in Brazil in 2025

Nokia has been selected by TIM Brasil ( TIM ) to expand its 5G RAN coverage across 15 Brazilian states from January 2025 .

This partnership will increase the number of municipalities with access to 5G . The expansion will also enable enterprises in these regions to digitalize their operations , fostering innovation and driving economic growth .
Under the deal , Nokia will supply a range of equipment from its industry-leading 5G AirScale portfolio , including baseband , Massive MIMO radios , and Remote Radio Head products – all powered by energy-efficient ReefShark System-on-Chip technology .
