Triton Digital releases Podcast Sales Network ranking for LATAM

In conjunction with the Podcast Sales Network Ranking , Triton Digital has released its 2024 Latin America Audio Outlook Report , which offers insights into the evolving LATAM podcast landscape during the period from June 2023 to May 2024 , including listening habits and insights into the top podcasts and newcomers to the LATAM Podcast Rankings .
According to the report , the most popular podcast genre was News ( 32 % of downloads ) followed by Comedy ( 17 % of downloads ).
Other notable findings include :
• Major podcast debutants included A Coach ( Wondery ), El Cielo Que Nunca Vi ( SiriusXM Podcast Network ), Escándalo Mexicano ( Wondery ).
• The most downloaded episode overall was “ Manchester City and the glory of the Club World Cup ” from Titulares Deportivos ( BluRadio Group ) with 460K downloads over the last year .
• Spotify was the top player for downloads of new RSS episodes ( 32 %), followed by the unspecified Android app ( 18 %).
• Prisa Radio was the primary publisher for webcast for the past year .

The total includes US $ 105 million in equity led by Notable Capital and BAI with participation from new and existing investors ACE Redpoint Ventures , GIC , General Catalyst , Goodwater , Lightspeed Ventures and Tresalia – and US $ 107 million in new debt financing provided by Goldman Sachs and Davidson Kempner Capital Management LP .
This latest injection of capital will support the introduction and scaling of new and existing products , further strengthening Stori ’ s leadership position in Mexico .
