More than a replacement , Artificial Intelligence becomes another collaborator that can enrich and facilitate the work experience , while overcoming details such as the repetitiveness of some tasks and the organization of projects , among other multiple alternatives that AI can satisfy .
The 2023 Work Trend Index , exposes three key points that are worth considering in the face of how Artificial Intelligence is perceived in the current ethereal and ubiquitous environment :
• Digital debt is costing us innovation : 64 % of people have struggled to find time and energy to do their jobs and those workers are 3.5 times more likely to say they struggle with innovation
• There ’ s a new alliance between AI and employees : while 49 % of people say they ’ re worried about AI replacing their jobs some 70 % would delegate as much work as possible to AI to lessen their workloads
• All employees need AI aptitude : As of March 2023 , the proportion of job postings on LinkedIn that mention GPT has already increased by 79 % year-over-year .
In this same study , Microsoft highlights that the main obstacles to productivity are inefficient meetings and second the excess of them .
Also cited is the lack of clarity in the goals both general and corporate as well as work teams and personal , as well as a problem to find inspiration to perform a more efficient , productive or creative work and finally , as a cause or engine of all the above , a problem of people not easily finding the information they are looking for .
Only 16 % of respondents believe that a current WFA cybersecurity solution can solve the problem of home network security risks .
Those who have experienced a WFA violation are the least confident that this risk can be reduced .
Finally , companies have already implemented solutions to address risks to some extent , but planned investments in security solutions are extensive , especially for laptop antivirus and VPNs . In addition , those who have had a WFA-linked breach are more likely than those who have not had to invest in laptop antivirus , VPN , Secure Access Service Edge ( SASE ), SD-WAN , and Zero Trust Network Access ( ZTNA ).
On the other hand , the Microsoft study highlights the need to develop new skills when generating a new way of working . Among the most promoted by the interviewees are : Analytical judgment ( 30 %), flexibility ( 29 %), Emotional Intelligence ( 27 %), creative evaluation ( 24 %), intellectual curiosity ( 23 %), detection and management of biases or alternatives ( 22 %) and delegation to AI based on indicators ( 21 %).
In short , the workplace has not only changed , but has also become a virtual asset that must be managed with increasingly creative , safer and at the same time , more efficient resources , to make them as or more productive than traditional work scenarios . p
