Claro to expand 4G network in Colombia
Claro has announced it has connected
17 rural and remote locations in the department of Huila in Colombia .
The move will benefit more than 9,000 inhabitants , who for the first time have access to high-speed mobile Internet .
In the coming years , Claro will connect 22 additional rural locations , to reach a total of 39 in this department . This will positively impact more than 35,000 people .

“ With the arrival of 4G mobile Internet in these rural towns , we contribute to the development of the inhabitants of Huila , who can now access study , work , health and entertainment online .”
The towns concerned are Gallardo , in Suaza ; Caguancito and El Paraíso , in Garzón ; Monguí and Zaragoza , in Colombia ; Patía , La Troja , Begonia , Canon , La Batalla , La Parada and Laureles , in Baraya ; Versailles , Piravante ,
Hallelujahs and Laurels , in Palermo ; Cerro Castañal and El Cedral , in Tello .
In addition to the new connected rural areas , Claro has 4G coverage in all 37 municipal capitals of Huila , which means that its inhabitants have greater capacity and speed to connect from their mobile phones .

Medidata , a Dassault Systèmes company , is enabling Intrials , a Latin American contract research organization ( CRO ), to expand its business with Medidata ’ s Rave CTMS , Rave eTMF and Rave Site Payments .
The agreement , which includes training and support from Medidata Professional Services , helps Intrials advance its offerings in Latin America with the capability to manage more complex trials and attract larger global clients .
