Ingenico achieves ISO 9001 quality certification for operations in Latin America

Ingenico , a global leader in payment acceptance solutions , has announced the attainment of the international ISO 9001:2015 certification , which attests to the organization ’ s compliance and quality processes in its management system for project implementation , development and commercialization of payment services and solutions across all its units in Latin America , including Argentina , Chile , Colombia and Costa Rica . Maxtrack initiates project to offset carbon emissions in cargo transportation operations

In line with its sustainable commitment and aligned with its ESG policies , the Brazilian company Maxtrack , a leading technology provider for passenger and cargo tracking in Latin America , has launched the Carbon Zero project to offset carbon emissions from its monitored road transportation fleets .

In partnership with the Uaimií Institute , a laboratory for experiences in the recovery of degraded areas and environmental preservation , the project will work on creating a carbon offset flow through the planting of native trees .
The initiative will be developed according to a schedule , considering the implementation and operation of transportation , monitoring and intelligence , planting and monitoring of the areas , ensuring carbon reduction or offset goals alongside the fleets .
Fuel consumption measurement , CO ² emissions , and other carbon calculations across the entire fleet are carried out by Maxtrack ’ s technology , which utilizes Artificial Intelligence ( AI ) to make driver behavior more efficient and sustainable .
With the savings generated , participating transport companies will be able to offset the polluting gases emitted during operations by planting seedlings in designated preservation areas in partnership with Uaimií , located in Ouro Preto , Minas Gerais .
