Servica Group implements Infor WMS to support steady growth

Infor , an industry cloud company , has announced that Grupo Servica , a logistics company in Costa Rica , has selected the Infor WMS warehouse management solution .

Grupo Servica is adopting Infor to manage logistical operations and continue its steady growth while increasing customer services .
The sales and implementation will be in charge of Cerca Technology , a distribution partner of Infor with over 30 years of experience helping companies digitize their supply chains .
The company provides solutions for the logistics chain to import and export companies with personalized , reliable and competitive services , besides having a fiscal warehouse that receives imported products and does the naturalization process .
Grupo Servica also has a distribution center with 80 employees dedicated to services in the supply chain .
The company had a warehouse management system that was not robust enough to support its operations and customers and due to its constant growth and the increase of new customers , the Servica Group needed a world-class solution , so it selected Infor WMS .
Implementation will happen in the fiscal warehouse and distribution center , initially in two categories , food and hygiene . Infor WMS will focus on providing more flexibility in order planning and management processes as Grupo Servica expects to improve control of cargo containers in the fiscal warehouse from receipt to delivery .

KIO expands Latin America footprint with first Colombian acquisition

KIO , I Squared Capital ’ s data center and digital infrastructure platform for Latin America , has announced the signing of an agreement for the acquisition of a new Data center Campus in Colombia .

The new facility , KIO BOG1 , is located in one of most interconnected industrial complexes in the country with more than 14 network operators .
With the new KIO BOG1 , located in Bogota , Colombia , becomes KIO ’ s sixth country of operations , fifth in the Americas and first in South America .
The facility has 5,000 sqm of construction and two data halls with more than 2,000 sqm of white space and a power capacity of 6 MW for colocation services . The project has additional land to build a second data center with similar characteristics , resulting in a potential capacity of up to 12 MW for the campus . This data center campus has a high availability design and construction , certified by the Uptime Institute at TIER III level .
“ For KIO it is highly strategic to continue expanding in LATAM and we have chosen Colombia because we are convinced of the economic potential and the growing demand for our services in this great country . We are working very well with our investment partners , I Squared Capital , in the execution of our expansion plans ,” said Santiago Suinaga , KIO Data centers CEO .
