AGORA signs commercial agreement with a company specialized in fiber optics

The agreement will cover the commercialization of UCL Swift ’ s fiber optic splicing machines . switches and splitters will also be available for sale .

AGORA , a distributor and supplier of complete ICT solutions , has signed a commercial agreement with the Korean company UCL Swift , which specializes in optical fiber processing and splicing equipment , tools and accessories .

With the partnership , AGORA assumes the role of Master Distributor of UCL Swift , in Brazil , following the mission of consolidating itself in the telecom and ISPs market as a complete player ‘ one stop shop ’.
With nearly 40 years of experience , UCL Swift is headquartered in South Korea and has offices in the US , Canada , Russia , Indonesia and now in Brazil .
According to Tadeu Hansen , Regional Manager for South America at UCL Swift , the partnership with AGORA comes at a strategic moment for UCL , which aims to build and consolidate its presence in the Brazilian market , which has great potential for expanding the use of optical fiber with the arrival of 5G technology .
“ The choice of AGORA is due to its capillarity with its regional distributors and complete support in logistics , technical and commercial support , in addition to financial support . All sales , training and co-selling initiatives and marketing resources will be used to ensure mutually beneficial growth ,” said Hansen .
The agreement will cover UCL Swift ’ s splicing machine lines , both conventional and premium line models , which are suitable for installation and maintenance work on internal and external optical networks , offering great precision in the fusion of optical fibers .
