AstroPay , a global leader in online payment solutions , has announced the launch of a new capability – Payment Links – for small and medium sized-enterprises ( SMEs ) in Brazil , enabling business owners to collect online and remote payments by simply sharing the link with their customer , and get paid instantly in an easy and secure way . Brazil ’ s 18.2 million micro and small companies account for 99 % of businesses in the country and were responsible for 70 % of employment created since the beginning of last year . With AstroPay ’ s new payment capability , small businesses without a website or online store can continue to serve their customers with an easy online payment solution that suits their needs .
Local operators and international manufacturers participated in the public consultation by the Chilean Undersecretariat of Communications ( Subtel ) on the reordering of spectrum in the 3.5 GHz band in order to accelerate the deployment of 5G mobile networks . Among the participants in the consultation were companies such as Motorola , Nokia , ZTE and Ericsson , as well as companies that provide telecommunications services in the country such as Entel , Claro , Telefónica and WOM . According to Subtel , due to its technical characteristics , the band between 3,400 and 3,600 MHz is relevant for the development of 5G networks , so it was pertinent to consult the sector regarding its possible rearrangement , allowing efficient use by companies .

To strengthen the National Cybersecurity Policy , increase cybersecurity incident response capabilities and develop international cooperation networks , the Minister of Telecommunications and Information Society of Ecuador , Vianna Maino , signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Director of the Cyber Resilience Project for Development ( Cyber4Dev ). With this memorandum , Ecuador will improve its e-government processes and could become the headquarters of a European Union Cyber Training Center in Latin America . Cyber4Dev ’ s goal is to provide access to the benefits of a free and open cyberspace , while building cyber resilience and optimizing Ecuadorian economic and social development .
The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission ( CRC ) has edited the resolution 6522 to encourage the modernization of networks , updating the regulatory framework for interconnection and access . Among the main beneficiaries of this update are users of 4G networks , who will take advantage of VoLTE ( Voice over LTE ) communications and share communications between users of other mobile networks . CRC reviewed the procedure for updating and renewing the guarantees that suppliers must provide to ensure payment for the use of third-party networks , in order to preserve financial stability and competition between operators .
