At Claro Colombia and from our América Movil Group , we are committed to ensuring the environment . For this reason , we work on environmental sustainability projects that guarantee a more efficient operation based on clean energy and circular economy and transportation schemes , seeking to become the telecommunications operator with the most significant investment in the country in modernizing its networks and being more sustainable .
Likewise , we align our strategy to the global agenda of the United Nations with the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDG ) and the goal of reducing climate change to 1.5 degrees by 2030 and being carbon neutral by 2050 .
Regarding the direct issue of our data centers , we have two work fronts . The first focused directly on energy efficiency , which includes the confinement of corridors in air systems and the use of smart sensors , automation of measurement and quality of energy in real-time .
The second corresponds to integrating renewable energy sources , in a first phase to provide 20 % of the monthly energy needed in the data center with solar energy . It is a project that is ongoing and with completion scheduled for the second quarter of 2022 .
In the same way , we have the ‘ Bronze CEEDA ’ certification , which allows us to demonstrate a PUE of 1.6 in our data centers . We remain committed to caring for our planet in many ways ; this is just one of them . medium and large companies in the country in terms of infrastructure , management , security levels , governance and sustainability .
Triara has one of the highest qualifications in the industry in the provision of data center services that guarantee the optimal operation of the data center resources and the quality of the service .
Claro Colombia has three Triara data centers , two in Bogotá and one in Medellín , 90,000 kilometers of fiber optics throughout the national territory and 9,163 base stations in all departments , allowing us to be the most influential technology provider and with the broadest coverage in the country .
