Uruguay is going to implement number portability in cell phones with Cleartech , a Brazilian company specialized in solutions for the telecommunications market . The company won the tender in a consortium with Cietel , a local infrastructure company . Companies such as Mediafon , PortingXS and Inetum competed for the tender . They have been responsible for number portability projects in countries such as Mexico , Russia , Netherlands and Ireland , as well as several countries in Africa , Latin America and Europe . Cleartech sees this as the first step in its international expansion .
Newly arrived in Brazil , the Mexican company Nowports , a cargo transport management start-up , has just received a Series B contribution of US $ 60 million , led by Tiger Global and with the participation of SoftBank and DTS . Barbados , in the Western Caribbean , will be the first country in the world to have a functioning digital embassy in the Metaverse . The virtual embassy is the result of an agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados and the virtual reality and 3D platform Decentraland . The government said it is already studying new partnerships for future developments in the Metaverse , with companies like Somnium Space and SuperWorld .
Addi , a Colombian payment FinTech , has just received its third funding contribution led by the GIC , with participation from the Softbank fund for Latin America , Andreessen Horowitz , GGV , Monashees Capital and Union Square Ventures ’ s Opportunity .
