PERU
Huawei has announced the launch of its second data center in Mexico . This adds to the growth strategy that the firm has in the region and complements the existing data centers in Buenos Aires , Argentina ; Santiago de Chile ; Sao Paul , Brazil ; and Lima , Peru . Part of the strategy for the coming years in Latin America is to complement its content distribution network ( CDN ) in countries such as Uruguay and Paraguay . This will be integrated before the end of the year . Bolivia , Barbados , Suriname , Belize , Bahamas , Guyana , Jamaica and Nicaragua will enter the network next year .
With the opening of a new data center in Peru , and two more to come in Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia , in Brazil , Netskope extends its coverage in Latin America focused on the protection and cybersecurity of the data of the companies in the region , through its NewsEdge network and its Secure Access Service Perimeter Approach ( SASE ). Alain Karioty , Regional Director for Latin America at Netskope , said : “ We are seeing tremendous growth in the Latin America region , with organizations eager to adopt a SASE approach to accelerate the transformation of their security architecture . These transformations are being driven by the erosion of the traditional IT Edge , with business units adopting new cloud technologies to support business objectives .”

COLOMBIA
Globenet , a leading wholesale provider in the Latin American market of telecommunications services and Edge data centers , has announced the construction of a new Edge data center in Barranquilla to expand its current infrastructure and respond to the growing demand for colocation and connectivity services . The announcement of this new data center in Colombia comes two weeks after GlobeNet announced the construction of another new Edge data center in Fortaleza , Brazil , which is expected to be ready by the third quarter of 2022 . With a projected total of five Edge data center locations in Latin America by the end of 2022 , GlobeNet continues to strengthen its position in the Edge data center market , while maintaining its principle of neutrality and focus on the wholesale business .

Manhattan Associates has announced that C & A , one of the world ’ s leading fashion retailers , has chosen to implement Manhattan Active Warehouse Management across its five Brazilian distribution centers by 2022 . This rollout started at C & A ’ s ecommerce fulfillment center in São Paulo , which went live this year , and will initially help the retailer manage its rapidly growing online business . C & A is a leading fashion retail brand with locations across 21 countries . For generations , the retailer has excelled in offering affordable clothing in the latest styles and fashion . It opened its Brazilian operations in 1976 and is now serving millions of customers a week across more than 300 stores .
